Therapy Services

Approaches that reach beyond talk.

Alongside counseling, Kristin offers three specialized methods that work with the brain and nervous system to support healing.

EMDR Brainspotting Alpha-Stim Co-Parenting Supervision
EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR is a structured, research-supported therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories. Using bilateral stimulation such as guided eye movements or gentle tapping, painful experiences can lose their emotional charge and feel more like the past.

It is commonly used for trauma and PTSD, anxiety, panic, grief, and negative beliefs about oneself.

01
Preparation
We build history, goals, and coping skills so you feel resourced before processing begins.
02
Processing
With bilateral stimulation, you briefly focus on a target memory while your brain does the work of integrating it.
03
Integration
We strengthen new, healthier beliefs and check that progress holds between sessions.
Brainspotting

Where you look affects how you feel.

Brainspotting, developed by Dr. David Grand in 2003, uses specific eye positions, or "brainspots," to access experiences held deep in the brain and body. Holding focus on that point while staying attuned with your therapist allows the nervous system to process and release what talk therapy alone may not reach.

It can help with trauma, anxiety, emotional blocks, chronic stress, and performance concerns.

Alpha-Stim

Gentle, drug-free relief for anxiety and sleep.

Alpha-Stim is an FDA-cleared medical device that uses cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES). A low-level microcurrent is delivered through soft ear clips, helping the brain shift toward a calmer, more relaxed state.

It is used for anxiety, insomnia, and depression, and can be combined with therapy or used on its own.

What it feels like
Most people feel a faint tingle or nothing at all. Many notice a relaxed, alert calm during or shortly after use.
How sessions work
Treatments typically last 20 to 60 minutes and can be done in session while you talk or rest.
Is it right for me?
Kristin will review your history and goals to see whether Alpha-Stim fits your treatment plan. Home use is an option, contact me for details!
Co-Parenting & Mediation

Co-parenting and mediation support.

Separation changes a family's shape, not its importance. Kristin helps parents and families communicate more clearly, reduce conflict, and make decisions together.

Co-Parenting Counseling
Build a shared plan, communication tools, and consistent routines across both homes.
Mediation
Impartial facilitation for parenting plans and family disagreements, outside the courtroom.
Professional Consultation
Case consultation for clinicians and attorneys working with high-conflict families.
Supervision

Supervised visits that put children first.

Parent Visit Supervision

A trained, neutral monitor is present for parenting time ordered by the court or agreed between parents. Visits are calm, structured, and focused on the child's comfort and safety.

· In-office or community visits · Supervised exchanges · Written observation reports when required

Intake & Scheduling

Each parent completes a separate intake before visits begin. We review court orders, set ground rules, and agree on a schedule that works for the family.

· Individual intake for each parent · Clear guidelines shared in advance · Therapeutically Supervised Visits $85/hr
· Parent Aid Supervised Visits $65/hr
