Claire Jones, MSW, LCSW
Claire has been in private practice providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, mature adults, and families since 2015. Clinical interests include, but are not limited to, working with obstacles in life such as trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment based concerns, behavioral issues, severe & persistent mental illness, grief & loss, difficulties which accompany autism, and matters which affect families. Claire develops interventions using several types of modalities an individual may find helpful, rather than depending on one set of principles or style of treatment to guide us toward solutions. Experience with differing perspectives gives the benefit of flexibility for clients in order to individualize treatment. Claire's open nature and style of communication provide a dynamic in the therapeutic relationship which is often most important.
While obtaining her Masters degree, in Social Welfare from the University of Kansas, Claire was afforded experience in community mental health working with clients who have experienced severe and persistent mental illnesses. Claire also worked with staff and students in the charter school system and community of Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to this Claire was employed as an intake specialist in home health after subsequently providing care as a private caregiver for a mature adult with dementia beginning in 2009.
