Licensed Therapist-Psychotherapy (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, PLPC, psychologist MA or PhD) and Parent Aides

Licensed Therapist:

  • Must hold a valid Missouri License to practice independently or be under clinical supervision by a State Board approved clinical supervisor with this agency being an approved clinical site. Therapist must provide agency with a current copy of license to practice and all renewals.
  • Must have valid malpractice insurance that meets minimum requirements set forth by Medicaid which is currently 1,000,000.00/3,000,000. Therapist must provide agency with a copy of the insurance showing insurance is effective.
  • Therapist shall follow all rules and regulations of each funding source at all times.
  • Therapist shall follow all HIPAA rules and regulations and ensure client confidentiality at all time.
  • Therapist will use evidence-based and/or clinically recognized practices when working with clients.
  • Therapist will be responsible for providing assessment, individual, family, couples, group counseling and crisis intervention.
  • Therapist will be responsible for submitting their billing to the agency within 30 days of providing the treatment.
  • Position requires therapist to write court reports, attend collaborative meetings, testify at court hearings and communicate with caseworkers, attorneys, guardian ad litems, etc frequently.
  • This is an independent contract position. Provider will be provided with a 1099 statement at the end of the year.

Parent Aide:

Parent Aide services include the placement of a trained parent aid in the home of a family authorized by the Children’s Division as part of the family/client’s service plan (WSA).   Services shall be provided in the home of the family/client.   The Parent Aide may assist in the following with the goal of reaching an acceptable level of family functioning and maintenance of the physical environment.

  • Help the parent (s) become involved in activities to reduce isolation
  • Help the parent (s) increase their support network
  • Teach nutrition and preparation of meals
  • Teach budgeting
  • Assist with school and medical appointments
  • Help parent (s) become aware of child development and how to provide nurturing as well as other tasks, including age development level techniques
  • Help the parent manage mental or developmental disorders while encouraging the use of natural supports
  • Help the parent find and maintain employment
  • Services are provided in-home, in-office and in the community

 

Parent Aide will utilize the following:

  • Use strength-based approach and focus on skill acquisition and risk reduction.
  • Interventions must focus on improving skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, problem solving, conflict resolution, and stress management.
  • Interventions may also focus on building personal self-care, and home management skills by addressing issues such as nutrition, meal preparation, household maintenance including house cleaning, laundry, money management (budgeting), personal hygiene and grooming, and identification and use of social and recreational skills.
  • This is an independent contract position. Provider will be provided with a 1099 statement at the end of the year.

A parent aide must have a dependable vehicle, valid automobile insurance and a valid driver’s license.
